Health & Safety Department
CREC is committed to maintaining a safe working environment and we continually strive to improve on our safety standards and policies.
CREC strives to proactively foster a safe working environment and enhance the well-being of our employees and that of the communities within our areas of work.
CREC strives to adhere to all relevant Customer Safety requirements as well as legislation including the Occupational Health and Safety Act 85 of 1993 and the Mines Health and Safety Act 29 of 1996 where applicable.
Compliance with legislation is important to us to the extent that it provides a minimum standard for the development of our systems and procedures. We frequently review any changes in legislation and where necessary address new requirements for positive change to suite our working environment. In addition, CREC carries out ongoing safety training and we place Safety Reps or Safety Officers to comply with OSHAct requirements.
We are aware of the impact that our projects potentially pose and thus implement programmes and adopt customer requirements and policies to minimise negative effects.
We conform to all customers’ project-specific environmental management plans to ensure the impact of our activities on the environment is controlled within the specified guidelines that our customers and legislation require. Our premises are a true reflection of our attitude towards the safe keeping of our environment.
